Donkervoort develops an in-store media concept

To satisfy the information demands of growing numbers of visitors, Donkervoort is developing an in-store media concept.

The Hague, 28 December 2005

Donkervoort's production facility receives many visitors from all over the whole world every year. In order to provide them quality information, Donkervoort has commissioned Tripany to develop a narrowcasting in-store media concept. Tripany is European supplier of in-store media solutions.

The self-service kiosks will be placed in strategic places, and will give visitors information and let them see images of the cars, the assembly process, and ‘live' images including from the circuit. Donkervoort also has a wide collection of merchandising such as clothes, shoes and watches which will also be displayed. The kiosks thus do not only provide information, but let the visitor experience the ‘Donkervoort feeling'.

Tripany has designed a narrowcasting content management system which allows Donkervoort to easily adapt the content from any pc. "The system is very user-friendly, and it allows us to easily keep the information up-to-date" says Jonathan Middag, Donkervoort's Marketing & PR Manager. For the time being Tripany will manage the content provision and planning for Donkervoort.

The choice of supplier fell to Tripany because of its ability to deliver a total concept. "Tripany does not only deliver the kiosks and screens, but manages the content, the CMT, and the navigation software. It has extensive experience with narrowcasting projects and is a real one-stop-shop supplier with an excellent reputation and a team of experienced professionals" explains Jonathan Middag.

About Donkervoort
More than 27 years ago, Joop Donkervoort decided to build his own sports cars. Initially he operated from his house, from where he also built most of the cars. In 2000 the company moved to a modern production facility where everything, from the design of new cars to the full vehicle assembly, from the building of the chassis to the last detail, is done on the spot. Over 1,000 cars have left the company in the last 27 years.
